“DIY Patch leads to costly claim”
Another successful Home Assessment and another black mold issue that will cause a costly insurance claim. Colvent Group was called in to complete a Home Assessment on a 4 year old trust-owned home that was not yet under our maintenance program. During this assessment it was noted that the tub had been cracked and father of the beneficiary knew about it. The client’s father attempted a patch, but was not successful. As a result, water damage has led to an issue with black mold in the home.
